Those are cute. How old are your other dishes? Maybe it's time to revamp? Other than that no idea how to justify a purchase other than the fact they are cute and on sale so why not make a purchase?
I hate to rain on the estrogen fest, but if cute was a good reason for buying things then our house would be full of puppies and pictures of babies (actually our house is starting to have a lot of pictures of one curtain baby). Plus as someone that does at least half the eating in our house, I don't know if I want to be eating of something described as cute.

You could just buy one piece, like the soup bowl to use as a candy dish or something. Or, you could buy several pieces and give them to me.
