Does anyone know what this plant is? It is growing all over our backyard. We also found a lot of it beyond our sod, in the clay/soil mixture behind our house. At first, Blake and I thought poison ivy, but we've ruled that out. What is this and how do we get rid of it?

It is a maple tree.
i also was going to say that it looks like a maple. i wonder if you got a lot of them from all the water? was there a lot of runoff through your yard?
I TOLD Blake I thought it was a tree, but he was pretty convinced otherwise...and, as usual, he convinced me with his story too. :)
I think the maples have been germinating like mad this year with all of the rain. We have them ALL over the place, more than any other weed, I swear!
