The show won't go on

I'm praying that they work this out really soon. What is New York without Broadway?!

Some info from the article:
"It was a second day of dark Broadway theaters and disappointed audiences as striking stagehands reaffirmed their commitment Sunday to remain off the job until producers started acting "honorably" at the negotiating table.

Twenty-seven shows remained closed Sunday, the day after stagehands went on strike, shutting down such popular productions as "Wicked," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Hairspray," "Jersey Boys" and "Mamma Mia!"

Among the shows canceled Sunday was a gala 10th-year anniversary performance of "The Lion King," although a party celebrating the Disney musical's decade-long run was still being held." --MICHAEL KUCHWARA, AP Drama Writer

I hope this doesn't affect Chicago. Blake and I are going to see Phantom there next weekend! Too bad, I couldn't make it two musicals in one day. I'm dying to see Wicked for the third time!

How long are you going to be in Chicago. You should stop at Ikea on your way back.
